This program is specifically designed for recruits transitioning from an inactive lifestyle to the demanding physical requirements of the various First Responder programs and academies. This program includes a combination of guided workouts, nutritional guidance, and educational workshops to help recruits safely and effectively build the necessary fitness level for success.
Every 3 months, the department will receive a report summarizing the progress of its first responders in the following areas:
Skeletal Muscle Mass: Increased muscle mass translates to improved strength and endurance, reducing injury risk.
Body Fat Percentage: Maintaining a healthy body fat percentage improves overall health and reduces the risk of chronic disease.
Fitness Test Scores: Improved fitness test scores demonstrate enhanced physical capabilities required for firefighting duties.
Mobility Scores: Improvements in mobility are a strong indicator for reduced risk of soft tissue injury.
